INTRO

W12 were aksed to design Verizon's latest streaming experience, Stream TV. 

Stream TV is a next-gen Android TV powered streaming platform to be enjoyed across multiple different devices - from TV right down to phone.

My role was predominantly working across the mobile and tablet apps, but as the project demanded, close collaboration amongst the team was necessary to ensure a seamless experience across all devices.

My role was predominantly working across the mobile and tablet apps, but as the project demanded, close collaboration amongst the team was necessary to ensure a seamless experience across all devices.

A refined user interface was developed to offer the user a intuitive and effective way to navigate the experience. Giving the content prominence was key - the overall look & feel upheld the Verizon brand identity, without overwhelming the content it was displaying.

To maintain consistency and ensure a streamlined process, a foundational design system was established early in the project. This system provided reusable components, guidelines and rationale for the Stream TV platform.

By implementing this scalable approach, we were able to work more efficiently, and it allowed for future adaptability and growth of the product, post MVP.

With this in mind, we implemented a dynamic home screen that would react to the user’s past viewing history, preferences and trending content.
Surfacing media they were likely to enjoy and interactive with, based on the data we had at hand.

The homepage would also allow vendors to showcase up-and-coming or in demand content with curateable modules for this purpose.

With multiple content providers contributing media throughout the platform, users needed to understand the type of content they were engaging with and where it originated in an intuitive way.
